What We Do

""The Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres (OACCAC) is a not-for-profit member and technology shared-services organization that supports Ontario's 14 Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) and their partners in providing home and community care to people across Ontario. The OACCAC advocates for better patient care and helps CCACs develop innovative and cost-effective ways to provide people with the care they need.

By supporting collaboration among CCACs and integration with other parts of the health-care system, the OACCAC promotes value and efficiency through our work in the following areas:

POLICY & RESEARCH

The OACCAC offers  thought leadership, analysis and policy advice aimed at promoting excellence in delivery of home and community care as a critical part of high functioning, sustainable health-care system, now and in the future. By undertaking research and analysis, the OACCAC enables knowledge sharing and helps demonstrate the value of home and community care.

Through our province-wide eHealth platform, we enable CCACs and health-care partners to deliver care that is timely, accurate and complete. By developing, managing and supporting innovative business and technology platforms, we are able to offer a single point of access for information exchange. We also work closely with the CCACs to gather, measure and report on health information data, while ensuring privacy and security.
